Have some “dirty” clothes that you just wore today? Well, before putting it into the laundry basket, take a look at it closely. If it looks clean, smells clean (and sounds clean!), then it’s clean! Don’t re-wash something if you can wear it again. And, if you don’t like wearing the same shirt or pants two days in a row, keep the “dirty” clothes in your closet and wear it in a few days (or maybe on the weekend where you aren’t doing anything important). According to SFgate.com, a typical washing machine uses up to 150 litres (40 gallons) of water for one full load! That’s enough to fill 300 water bottles! If we can all wear our clothes for more than just one day, we will be saving a lot of water.
Wonderful info! Thanks for sharing.
